Most wanted leader of al-Qaeda arrested in Sana'a

SANA'A, July 31 (Saba) - The security authorities have arrested one of the most wanted leader of al-Qaeda, a security official in the Supreme Security Committee said Tuesday.

The source said that the security forces managed on Monday to arrest Al-Qaeda leader, Abdul-Rahman al-Baihani, wanted for plotting terrorist' attacks in the capital

Al-Baihani has taken part in fighting the armed forces in Abyan province, where al-Qaeda militants defeated last June after strong battles with the armed forces. He used to recruit young people and send them to fight alongside Al-Qaeda in Abyan and Shabwa provinces, the source said.

He said that the security authorities will never stop hunting terrorists wherever they are, calling the misled elements to surrender.
