300 ECHO-funded shelters for refugees opened in Yemen

SANA'A, July 30 (Saba) - 300 European Commission for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection (ECHO)-funded shelters were opened on Monday in Kharaz camp for refugees in Lahj province.

The new shelters were opened during the visit of René de Vries, head of ECHO office in Sana'a, to the camp, where he met with a number of refugees and was briefed on their living conditions.

Up till now, there are 2,011 shelters in the camp for 17,000 refugees. However, some 2,500 refugees still live in temporary shelters.
