PM confirms his full support to reforming anti-corruption system

SANA'A, July 25 (Saba)- Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basindwa confirmed on Wednesday his full support for all measures and policies aimed to reform the anti-corruption system.

This came during a meeting a meeting in Sana'a included heads of the Supreme National Authority for Combating Corruption (SNACC) ,the Centeral Organization for Controle and Auditing (COCA) and the High Authority for Controling Tenders and Auctions, alsong with representatives from Finance Ministry and the World Bank (WB)'s Representative in Yemen.

The meeting touched on the policies and interventions required to confirm the effective role of anti-corruption system in dealing firmly with the corrupt and revealing the cases of corruption.

In addtion, the meeting addressed the reforms needed to be done in the framework of anti-corruption system, public finance, tenders, public procurement, control and audit.

It also dealt with means to achieve Yemen's benefit optimally from the WB's financial grant through the program-oriented policies to combat corruption and pursue integrity and transparency in all government activities, and other financial grants from Yemen's partners in development.

During the meeting, Prime Minister stressed that all control and auditing bodies should carry out their duties as required.
