WFP senior official in Yemen

SANA'A, July 14 (Saba) - World Food Programme (WFP) deputy executive director Ramiro Lopes da Silva arrived Saturday in Sana'a on a few-day visit to the country.

Silva said that he would hold talks with several officials in the government on increasing the WFP's aid to help the displaced people and refugees in Yemen.

The WFP seeks, in cooperation with the partners in Yemen, to raise the number of beneficiaries of humanitarian aid in Yemen to 3.8 million of the refugees, displaced and needy people, the WFP official said.
