U.S. vows to continue partnership with Yemen
[13/July/2012]
WASHINGTON, July 13 (Saba)- The U.S. has confirmed its vow to continue its vital partnership with Yemen in the economic, developmental, educational and security levels.

This came during a meeting gathered Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of Yemen in Washington Adel al-Sonini and the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Ambassador Stephen Seche, who expressed his condolences to the families of victims of the criminal and terrorist attack on the police college students.

“We are very optimistic with the steps taken by President Hadi, and we realize well that the weapons alone can not address the terror and extremism, but improving the living status of Yemeni citizen will do”, said Seche.

The U.S. official reviewed the economic, humanitarian and security aid allocated by his government for Yemen in this year.

For his part, al-Sonin prised the tangible improvement in the Yemeni-American relations, reviewing the liaison committee meetings results and next steps to form the preparatory committee of the national dialogue conference.

He confirmed that absorbing youth in the local and regional labour market and supporting the development projects will push Yemen forward to the stability.
