Cabinet approves draft decree on setting up Abyan reconstruction fund

SANA'A, July 10 (Saba) - The cabinet endorsed on Tuesday a draft republican decree on setting up a reconstruction fund of the affected areas in Abyan province.

During its weekly meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa, the cabinet tasked the ministers of legal affairs and local administration to finalize the required procedures for the issuance of the decree.

The fund is designed to coordinate the reconstruction works in the province and will prepare plans for rebuild all public and private facilities.

Several areas in Abyan, particularly in Zinjibar, Jaar and Lawder districts, have been damaged due to military confrontations occurred over the last month ended up with cleansing all the province from al-Qaeda militants.
