Liaison committee to submit final report to President Wednesday
[01/July/2012]

SANA'A, July 01 (Saba) - The liaison committee said Sunday that it will submit its final report on the outcomes of its contacts with various political sides to President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi next Wednesday.

In a press release, the committee said the report would include the recommendations reached after contacting different sides to pave the way for dialogue.

The committee presented a preliminary report to the President during meeting held today after concluding its tasks on June 30 according to the formation decree issued on May 6.

The press release indicated to a meeting held today gathered the committee's members and the UN envoy to Yemen Jamal bin Omar, whom was briefed on the committee's achievements.

Bin Omar has valued the tasks the committee had accomplished, saying that the committee had achieved the task it empowered to do, which is inviting various sides to take part in the dialogue, according to the press release.

The UN envoy said that the emerged challenges during the contacts were expected, pointing that the UN resolution 2015 stressed the importance of the dialogue during the current transitional stage in Yemen.

It is worth to mention that the deadline of the committee's activities was Saturday, June 30.

The eight-member committee was formed by a decree issued by President Hadi on May 6. It obliged all parties to cooperate in facilitating the committee's tasks in order to accelerate the formation of the national comprehensive dialogue's preparatory committee.
