PM affirms full support for Yemeni women

ADEN, June 20 (Saba) - Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa asserted on Wednesday his strong support for Yemeni women and their participation in forge Yemen's future.

During the women local conference held in Aden, Basindwa underlined the importance of women's participation in the national comprehensive dialogue, hailing the role the Yemeni women, especially in Aden, have played in the national movement in the previous period.

He urged the participants in the conference to come out with a united opinion on the national issues to be debated in the dialogue.

He pointed to the government's keenness to tackle all the issues of Aden governorate, which has a special place in the hearts of all Yemenis. He said the cabinet has adopted several urgent measures to alleviate the inhabitants of Aden, adding that they would perceive the results soon.

The Prime Minister called on all southern citizens, who are abroad, to return home, stressing they would enjoy all care and protection to do their national duties under the unified Yemen.

The two-day conference will discuss 14 papers on educational, social, health and economic areas, as well as the role of women in building a civil, modern and democratic state.
