Finland supports Yemen efforts to face challenges

SANA'A,June 03(Saba)- The non-resident ambassador of Finland to Yemen Jarno Syrjälä confirmed on Sunday his country's support to Yemen efforts to face the challenges.

This came during a meeting gathered him with Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, in which they dealt with the developments at the Yemeni arena, as well as the issues of common concern, including the issue of African refugees and the challenges faced by Yemen and the counter-terrorism efforts.

In addition, they discussed the preparation for the international conference scheduled to be held in Finland to discuss the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) in the Middle East.

Al-Qirbi briefed the Finnish diplomat on the progress in the path of the political settlement during the current transitional stage.

On his part, the Finnish ambassador praised the positive and advanced steps have been taken in the implementation of the transitional stage and achieving the national dialogue.
