PM demands more pressure on those who hinder Gulf initiative

SANA'A, June 01(Saba)- Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa demanded on Thursday the international community to step up pressure on those who obstruct the implementation of the Gulf initiative.

This came in a speech delivered by Basindwa before the Civilizations Alliance Forum, which opened Thursday in the Turkish city of Istanbul and organized by the United Nations in cooperation with the Turkish government and will pass over two days with the participation of representatives from 100 countries and international organizations and many of the intellectuals.

Basindwa called to the liberation of countries around the world from the oppression of the rulers and the injustice of the occupation as a basis for launching the dialogue of civilizations.

He pointed out that the Alliance of Civilizations starts from completing other tasks related to creating solid basics for the coexistence of civilizations and preventing turning of differences to a conflict, or canceling the other or any other form of hatred.

" The streams of cultural interaction should be activated and building a solid platform for the common interests", Basendwah said.

In his speech, Basindwa noted to the lastest developments at the Yemeni arena and the appreciaiton of the international community for the Yemeni example in overcoming the events witnessed by the country last year.

In the context of his speech , Basindwa praised the Turkish model, which many people are seeking to emulate and take advantage of it to make the economic progress and coexistence with the other.

He expressed his appreciation to Turkey for receiving a number of injured youth in the Yemeni uprising for treatment in the turkish hospitals.
