Iraq ready to swap prisoners with Yemen, diplomat says

SANA'A, May 28 (Saba) - Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa and Iraqi ambassador to Yemen Asaad al-Samarrai discussed here on Monday extraditing Yemeni detainees in Iraqi prisons to Yemen.

The Iraqi ambassador expressed his country's readiness to swap the prisoners between the two countries.

He also congratulated the Premier on the great success of the ministerial meeting of friends of Yemen, held last Wednesday in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Basindwa affirmed Yemen's keenness on developing the areas of bilateral cooperation with Iraq in order to enhance the deep-rooted historical relations between the two brotherly peoples.
