UK condemns al-Sabin square criminal incident
[21/May/2012]

LONDON, May 21 (Saba) – The United Kingdom condemned Monday's terrorist incident taken place at the al-Sabin square at Sana'a province.

The UK Minister of State for the Middle East and North Africa Alistair Burt described the criminal act, which targeted personnel from the Central Security and Colleges of Police and War, as a "cowardly."

"This tragic incident underscore the level of security challenges facing Yemen in its reforms process and finalizing the political transition," he added.

Burt asserted the UK's commitments to assist Yemen's efforts in implementing security reforms throughout the country and addressing al-Qaeda threats as well, calling not to allow this cowardly attack impeding the progress in completing the required reforms.
