Total to raise cooking gas for domestic consumption soon

SANA'A, May 10 (Saba) - President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi met here on Thursday with Director of the Middle East Region at Total Company for Oil Exploration and Production Arno Breyak.

During the meeting, Breyak presented a detailed report on the ongoing developments at the Total company's production and exploration levels, saying that the company is to launch an additional production of cooking gas for domestic consumption soon.

He stressed that the company is contacting with new markets, pointed to a positive improvement in the prices at the level of production and marketing of the liquefied natural gas.

In return, President Hadi stressed the importance of full cooperation between Yemen and Total in order to raise production, help the country's economic situation affected significantly during the 2011 crisis and provide employments for millions of youths.

Hadi ordered Ministry of Oil and Minerals to coordinate fully with Total, the biggest and most strategic partner to Yemen, in order to achieve better outcomes and expand exploration and production.

During the meeting, Hadi and Breyak discussed the nature of company's productive work in Yemen and investment and production improvement as well as the positive achievements over the past few years.
