SANA'A, May 06 (Saba) - An European official confirmed on Sunday the European Union (EU)'s readiness to meet the government's demands to fulfill the transitional period requirements, including experts in various fields.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa, Director for Middle East and North Africa in the EU Christian Berger expressed EU aspiration of the Prime Minister to visit the EU's headquarters in Brussels to advance the bilateral relations between Yemen and the Union in all fields.
Basindwa voiced his appreciation for the EU's states and their determination to support the government as well as their active role in backing the development and making the transition succeed in Yemen.
During the meeting, the Premier and the EU's official discussed the ongoing preparations for Yemen friends meeting to be held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, at the end of the current month, and the role the EU and Yemen's development partners can play to support the national reconciliation government to lead the transition period successfully.
The meeting also dealt with the cooperation relations between Yemen and the Union, particularly in the development and technical areas.
