SANA'A, May 02 (Saba) - Yemen and donor countries and organizations held on Wednesday an expanded meeting at the Planning and International Cooperation Ministry.
The meeting was dedicated to discuss the high-level partnership strategy between Yemen and the donors and the challenges hindered activating mutual cooperation.
During the meeting attended by donors' representatives, Planning and International Cooperation Minister Mohammad al-Sa'adi expressed Yemen's keenness to strengthen the existing relations of cooperation with all donor countries and regional and Arab organizations.
The meeting is part of the national reconciliation government's trends to activate the cooperation between Yemen and its development partners, overcome obstacles preventing the partnership via setting up a common vision about the trends of the partnership with donors, according to the Yemeni needs and priorities, al-Sa'adi said.
For his part, Planning Ministry's undersecretary Mohammad al-Hawiri made a detailed presentation of the stability and development interim program to fulfill economic, humanitarian and political priorities during the two-year transitional stage, which is to be presented in the Yemen friends meeting to be held on May 23 in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
The program's priorities included the early presidential elections held last February and the extended national dialogue conference to be held within the coming three months in addition to reconsidering the constitution, al-Hawiri added.
