HR Minister :Yemeni detainees issue at Guantanamo is humanitarian

SANA'A, April 26 (Saba) – Minister of Human Rights Houriah Mashhour has said that the issue of detainees at Guantanamo is a humanitarian one and we have to release all Yemeni detainees there and return them back home.



At her meeting on Thursday with members of a committee charged to study conditions of Yemeni arrested abroad, Mashhour made clear that the work of the committee is humanitarian and it should take all its responsibilities towards detainees whether at Guantanamo ,Saudi Arabia, Iraq or Syria prisons.



The committee has to investigate and gather data to come out with results enable to free all arrested outside Yemen, she added.



It is worth to mention that, the cabinet's decree No.(13) for 2012 approved to form a committee charging with the study of Yemeni detainees' conditions abroad.
