President, German diplomat review national developments

SANA'A, April 24 (Saba) - President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi discussed here on Tuesday with German ambassador to Yemen Holger Green the recent national developments in the political, economic and security areas.

Hadi and Holger reviewed several issues related to the implementation of the Gulf initiative and the UN 2014 and the required commitment from all parties to the initiative's principles, including the comprehensive national dialogue.

The President reviewed with the German ambassador some ideas that should be carried out promptly in cooperation with the international community and the countries sponsoring the political settlement in Yemen.

Hadi praised the German positions in support of Yemen, pointing to the good results that have been achieved to date. He stressed the importance of overcoming all impediments in order to tackle the complex situation in the country.

For his part, the German ambassador stressed that Germany backs President Hadi and all his efforts and will provide the required assistance to end the crisis in Yemen.

He expressed his country's appreciation of the extraordinary role President Hadi has played, especially at this sensitive situation in Yemen.
