LIBREVILLE, April 19 (Saba) – The 9thSession of the Islamic Conference of Information Ministers launched on Thursday in Gabon's capital, Libreville.
In the opening session which was attended by Yemen and 57 of the member states, the Yemeni delegation head and Minister of Information Ahmed Ali al-Amrani delivered a speech calling all media leaders in Islamic countries to devote more efforts to create media serving peace and development.
He also warned from the misuse of mass media and exploiting it in spreading violence and sadism.
During two days, the conference will discuss several issues topped by the role of the Islamic mass media in propping up Al-Quds issue and setting up two plans aiming to support the Islamic subjects in addition to other issues.
