Talks between Electricity Ministry, SFD held

SANA'A, April 15 (Saba) – A session talk was held here on Sunday between Ministry of Electricity and Energy, presented by the Public Electricity Corporation (PEC) and the General Authority for Rural Electrification (GARE), and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

The session has discussed electric projects, that the SFD would contribute to fund them, as well as difficulties facing a number of projects.

The arrangements to implement the second phase of Marib Gas Station , the SFD contributes funding it with US$100 million, were also reviewed in the session.

The PEC general director Khaled Abdul-Mawlah hailed the efforts exerted by brothers in Saudi Arabia in propping up development projects in Yemen, particularly in electricity area by the SFD.

In return, the SFD delegation head Abdullah al-Shedokhi made clear that the aim of the visit was to get acquainted with the situation of current projects, affirming the importance to find an appropriate mechanism to accelerate carrying out the first phase of the projects.

He also asserted the full support of Saudi Arabia for Yemen in various developmental areas.
