IFAD to continue developmental aid to Yemen

SANA'A, March 25 (Saba) - The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) asserted Sunday readiness to continue to provide all available assistance aspects to Yemen.

The statement made by IFAD representative in Yemen Fathia Bahran during her meeting with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi.

During the meeting, al-Sa'adi accented the importance of enhancing the IFAD's role in supporting the development and stability in Yemen, hailing the Fund's keenness on activating the cooperation with Yemen.

He also reviewed some challenges facing the Yemeni economy, pointed that the agricultural development and improving the promising economic sectors are top in the government's priority list for the coming years.

Al-Sa'adi and Bahran discussed several issues pertaining to the related to the bilateral cooperation between Yemen and IFAD.
