Netherlands to raise annual aid to Yemen

SANA'A, March 04 (Saba) - The Netherlands is intended to raise the annual aid to Yemen to help the national reconciliation government to meet the current transitional phase's requirements, Dutch ambassador to Yemen said Sunday.

During her meeting with Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammed al-Sa'adi, Leonie Kyulenyer commended the Yemeni model in bringing about the peaceful and smooth transition of power, saying that the Yemeni unprecedented model was highly valued international community.

Kyulenyer indicated to the steady improvement of the political and security situations in the country and the regional and international keenness to support Yemen's stability.

In return, the minister expressed the government's appreciation of the Dutch government's decision to resume its development aid to Yemen after being suspended sue to the repercussions of the last year political crisis.

Al-Sa'adi and Kyulenyer discussed several issues related to enhancing the cooperation relations between the two countries, especially in the areas of water resource management, good governance and maternal and child health.
