National org for reducing unemployment launched

SANA'A,Feb.17(Saba)-It was launched here on Thursday the National Organization for Reducing Unemployment in the presence of representatives of public, private and mixed sectors' institutions and civil society organizations.

At the launch ceremony, Undersecretary of Civil Services and Insurances Taha al-Hamdani confirmed the importance of this initiative to reduce the burden on the State and provide job opportunities in the private and public sectors and contribute to reducing unemployment and poverty.

He praised the directives of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to provide 60,000 jobs this year in order to contribute to trim down the unemployment amid youth.

For her part, Executive Director of the Organization Ibthajj al-Kamal affirmed that the declaration of the organization comes to meet the urgent need to unify all efforts of the State, private sector and civil society organizations to create a real partnership to reduce the unemployment problem through inculcating concepts of self-building and productive economic thought in youth.

The organization aims to make labor that is able to compete in the national labor market and dealt with the modern technology of the age as well as providing permanent jobs opportunities in the private sector; al-Kamal pointed out.

She added that the organization would create a fund for employment and reducing unemployment, as well as investment in the employment and human development.
