SANA'A, Feb. 08 (Saba)- Yemen is to take part as a guest of honor in the 15th East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition (EMITT), which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey next Thursday with the participation of 60 countries.

Speaking to Saba, Undersecretary of the Tourism Ministry Omar Bab-Alghayth said that Yemen will participate in the 15th EMITT after it was chose by organizers of the Fair as the 2011 guest of honor.

He added that Yemen's participation in the EMITT aims to highlight distinctive characteristics of its tourism sector.

It also aims to enhance tourist cooperation relations between Yemen and Turkey, particularly after the two countries signed an agreement on the abolition of visas between both countries and the intensification of flights between Yemen and Turkey.
