Yemen starts first Gulf tourist promotional campaign in Doha

DOHA, Dec. 01 (Saba) - Yemen started on Wednesday to implement the first Gulf tourist promotional campaign in Doha, Qatar.

The campaign aims to attract gulf people to make tourist tours in Yemen as well as improving Arab inter-Arab and regional tourism.

Undersecretary of Tourism Ministry Muthar Taqi pointed to the Yemeni success in hosting the 20th Gulf Cup tournament, which opened wide horizons of joint cooperation between Yemen and Gulf States, affirming the security and stability Yemen enjoys.

"The participants in the gulf tournament of players, journalists and spectators can fell the security and stability on the contrary of what have been reported in some media outlets against Yemen" Taqi said.

He said that the campaign began in Doha and would cover also Muscat, Manama, Dubai and Kuwait.

The campaign will include holding several meetings with a number of tourist agents and journalists, press conferences and symposiums on Yemen in addition to holding performances of the Yemeni various folklores, Taqi said.
