German archaeological mission starts works in Raydan Palace

SANA'A, Sep. 22 (Saba) – The German archaeological mission has started its one month work on Raydan Palace in Dhofar area of Ibb province .

They will study old potteries found in the earlier excavations at the site of the Himyarite capital of Dhofar.

The mission will also work on technical equipment for the site to protect the remains of walls, foundations and the palace which was destroyed by natural factors.

This step comes within the framework of the exploration project which will be launched this year.
