Arrangements underway for World Tourism Day celebration

SANA'A, Sep. 08 (Saba) – Arrangements have got underway for marking World Tourism Day that falls September 27.

Activities would be held on 27-28 September in the Secretariat Capital and three other provinces under the slogan ' tourism and biodiversity, director general of activities at the Tourism Ministry Ahmed al Bail said.

The activities will shed light on the role of tourism in supporting the national economy and the importance of preserving biodiversity because it is an important factor for sustainable tourism.

They will also highlight the  cultural, social, political and economic values of tourism as well as boosting the tourism sector and highlighting the role of tourism in creating jobs.

Moreover, they will include a symposium under the theme ' biodiversity ….tourism wealth source.
