Tourism Ministry to present 50 investment projects worth $ 1.3 bln

SANA'A, Sep.04 (Saba)-Ministry of Tourism is to present 50 tourist investment projects with an investment capital estimated at USD 1.3 billion in the Arab Tourist Investment Forum to be held next October in the capital Sana'a.

Undersecretary of Tourism Ministry for Tourism Development Sector Omar Ba-balgheith told Saba that the projects to be presented during the forum would include seven various tourist investment projects, out of them six coastal projects in five provinces, and a project distributed to 44 sites including many provinces in the country.

The six projects include resorts and integrated tourist villages in Medi coast of Hajjah province, Almark Island in Hodeidah, Ras Alarah and Khor Omariah in Lahj, Dhabdhab coast in Alshihr in Hadramout, and Ghazlet coast in Mahrah province, he pointed out.

Ba-balgheith indicated that the seventh project include establishing five-star hotels, three-star hotels and mountain, mud and sea villages and tourist rest houses, distributed across the country.

He noted to the importance of the tourist investment projects in contributing to reducing poverty, creating job opportunities, encouraging the economy and raising the local societies' economies.
