WASHINGTON, Sept 4 (Saba) -- US President Barack Obama on Friday ordered up to 33 million dollars be provided for urgent refugee and migration needs resulting from the Pakistan floods, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

In a memorandum to U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Friday evening, Obama said it was important to the U.S. national interest that the money be disbursed from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund.

The funds will go to international, governmental and non-governmental organizations for expenses "related to humanitarian needs resulting from recent devastating flooding in Pakistan," the memorandum said.
