Yemen to present 15 petroleum sectors in 3rd Oil Conference

SANA'A, Sep.02 (Saba)- Yemen is to present 15 new petroleum sectors to international oil companies participating in the Third Conference for Oil, Gas and Minerals, to be held in Sana'a during October 18-19,2010.

In this regard, Minister of Oil and Minerals Amir al-Aydarus invited all oil and minerals companies to partake in the conference, which is the biggest economic event for promotion in this sector in Yemen.

This came during a meeting of the preparatory committee for the Third Conference for oil, gas and minerals that was held last Wednesday and chaired by the Minister to discuss the preparations for the conference.

Al-Aydarus urged the committee to complete all arrangements and studies and comprehensive information on investment opportunities in oil, gas and minerals to be presented to the companies.

He stressed the importance of the conference which comes within the investment climates and stimulating opportunities witnessed by this sector, as well as the advantages and facilities provided by Yemen for companies and investors in this field.

Moreover, he pointed out that the ministry has implemented procedures to enhance the business environment and expand investment opportunities in this area.
