BRUSSELS, Aug 31 (Saba) -- The European Parliament's Development Committee will discuss here Tuesday afternoon the disastrous flooding in Pakistan with EU humanitarian aid commissioner Kristalina Georgieva, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

Having just returned from Pakistan and seen for herself the damage the floods have wrought to millions, Georgieva is expected to outline the EU's response so far and what more can be done, noted an European Parliament statement.

To date the amount donated by European Union governments to Pakistan to deal with the flood disaster is in excess of 230 million euro.
