Ex-Guantanamo detainee surrendered himself
[21/August/2010]

SANA'A, Aug. 21(Saba) - An ex-detainee at Guantanamo Bay and al-Qaeda element has given himself up to the security authorities, a well-informed security source said here on Saturday.

The al-Qaeda element, who is called Ali Hossain al-Tais, expressed his remorse for the period he has spent in joining al-Qaeda ranks and showed his readiness to cooperate in serving the country's security and stability.

He also called the rest of al-Qaeda elements to follow his steps and surrender themselves.

The security bodies had recently intensified the prosecution process in order to catch al-Qaeda elements and persuade the other elements who haven't involved in destructive actions to surrender themselves.

It is worth to mention that al-Tais is the second al-Qaeda element who gave himself up to the security bodies in this month.
