Yemen partakes in "Know Your Homeland" program in Egypt
[19/August/2010]

SANA'A, Aug.19 (Saba)- Yemen is to participate in the program " Know Your Homeland", hosted by the city of Alexandria, Egypt, during August 20-27.

Yemen's participation would be through the Tourism Ministry's sponsorship for the travel of two talent students, who have been nominated for participating in the program, the Undersecretary of Tourism Ministry Mutahar Taqi explained to Saba.

This came within joint efforts and coordination between the two ministries in the two brotherly countries to involve Arab youth in the tourist programs designed to introduce them to capabilities of the Arab cities in areas of tourism, heritage, and civilization, Taqi pointed out.

He added that those programs aim at building communication bridges among the Arab youth and supporting creative and talent young people and motivate them for further diligence in their scientific education.

A number of Arab countries are participating in the "Know Your Homeland" program, within activities on the occasion of selecting Alexandria as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2010.
