Yemen, WB discuss tenders cooperation

SANA'A, July 28 (Saba)- Chairman of the Higher Authority for Tenders Supervision (HATS) Abdul-Malik al-Arashi discussed Wednesday with the World Bank Procurement Specialist Ayman el-Guindy the executive plan of the HATS as well as related aspects to finalize its special strategy in cooperation with the WB.

They thrashed out cooperation mechanisms with the Bank to find out a suitable strategy to evaluate the present situation and define goals and road map for implementation.

They agreed to prepare a project for supporting the HATS, in addition to the preliminary arrangements to set up a special building for the Authority in coordination with the Public Works Project to be funded by the WB.

They also reviewed Yemen experience in the field of tenders and the economic reforms implemented in the financial area, specially in the tenders domain.
