VP: tourism development is essential pillar of national economy

SANA'A, June 23 (Saba) – Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi met here on Wednesday with the World Tourism Organization's delegation, partaking in the 34th meeting of the organization's committee for Middle East.

In the meeting, Hadi pointed out that the areas of tourism development is an essential pillar of the national economy, noting that the tourism potentials in Yemen are big, great and numerous in all seasons with multiple attractive climates.

He praised the good efforts exerted by the organization for the sake of joint cooperation to develop the tourist work in all its economic prospects.

For his part, Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Taleb al-Refai, presented detailed clarifications on the level of joint cooperation between the organization and the Tourism Ministry of Yemen, noting that tourist projects would be implemented in this field.

"We carry a message of love to Yemen and its political leadership, and this message contains a request for paying attention to the tourism in Yemen, which is a great attraction for tourism", al-Refai said pointed out that tourism is a renewable economy that is inexhaustible.

He praised efforts made by the Yemeni Ministry of Tourism, as well as the constructive ideas adopted by it in different events.
