SANA'A, June 13 (Saba) - Yemen is currently preparing for hosting the 32nd meeting of the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the Middle East.
The UNWTO meeting is scheduled to be held in Sana'a on June 22-23, 2010.
Minister of Tourism Nabil al-Faqih said that the meeting aims to enhance the joint Arab action to tackle the crises and challenges that hinder the tourist industry development.
The decisions coming out from the meeting are to promote the Arab tourism work to implement the tourism reviving plan approved by the UNWTO General Assembly in its last meeting in Kazakhstan, he added.
The Minister also said that the meeting will be held in a period when the Arab States have witnessed an obvious development in the tourist industry field with an increasing rate reach 20 percent.
The meeting is to discuss several issues included in the meeting's agenda, he said.
