TARABULUS, May 29 (Saba) - President of Libya Muammar Gaddafi affirmed on Saturday Libya's support to Yemen's security, stability, unity and development.
This came during a meeting gathered the Libyan leader and the commander of the Republican Guard and Special Forces, Ahmed Ali Abdullah Saleh, who conveyed a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh to Gaddafi.
The letter dealt with the Arab, regional and international developments of common concern, and the results of the recent Arab summit held in the Libyan city of Surt, in addition to the brotherly relations between Yemen and Libya and means of boosting them in all fields so as to serve the common interests of the two brotherly peoples.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of issues relating to the brotherly relations and areas of bilateral cooperation, especially between the armed forces in the two countries.
The Libyan leader voiced the keenness of Libya to continue to offer the brotherly support to Yemen in various fields.
He praised the Yemeni initiative for activating the joint Arab work, presented during the summit of Surt.
For his part, the commander of the Republican Guard and Special Forces expressed Yemen's appreciation for the brotherly supportive positions of Libya to Yemen's unity, security and stability.
