SANA'A, March 30 (Saba)- Head of the Supreme Authority for Monitoring Tenders (SAMT) Abdul-Malik al-Arashi held Tuesday talks with the World Bank international adviser on aspects of cooperation between the two sides in implementing an information and procurement unit project .
The talks dealt with the operational procedures of different components of the project and technical potential that can be provided by the WB to prepare a strategy for the SAMT work.
öAl-Arashi praised the attention paid by the WB to support this unit, affirming the Authority is fighting tenders corruption through strengthening transparency among and consulting firms implementing various projects.
He pointed out the importance of this project in promoting transparency in various stages of tendering and purchasing.
For his part, the WB adviser praised steps taken by Yemen in the follow-up safety measures for bids within the matrix of economic reforms pursued by the government, expressing the WB's readiness to provide all support for the Authority in the administrative and technical aspects.
