SC chairman opens symposium on Yemeni initiative of forming Arab Union
[22/March/2010]

SANA'A, March 22 (Saba)- Chairman of Shoura Council Abdul Aziz Abdul Ghani opened on Monday a symposium on the Yemeni initiative of forming Arab Union in Sana'a capital.

In his speech in the symposium, Abdul Ghani highlighted the Yemeni initiative as tool to overcome all political, security and economic challenges facing the Arab nation as well as develop joint Arab work.

The initiative reflects concern of Yemen and its leadership represented by President Ali Abdullah Saleh toward issues of the nation, he said.

Abdul Ghani reviewed features of the initiative to resolve dispute among member states based on peaceful alternatives in addition to achieve economic integration and activate the security cooperation.

The symposium was organized by the 26th September Weekly and Amran University.
