Al-Jabri talks with IMF delegation over cooperation

SANA'A, March 21 (Saba)- Minister of Telecommunication and Information Technology Kamal al-Jabri received here on Sunday the visiting delegation of the International Momentary Fund (IMF) and talked with them over cooperation to improve telecommunication sector in the country.

In the meeting, the minister reviewed steps taken by the ministry in order to improve telecom sector and its affiliate institutions, specially in area of legislations.

Al-Jabri also dealt with plans of his ministry to liberate the telecom sector after the accession to the World Trade Organization, noting that the coming years will witness further reforms in this area.

The meeting affirmed the importance of the IMF to provide the required support for the ministry to implement reform programs and to urge donors to contribute to this sector.
