Yemen's friends group to meet soon in Abu Dhabi

SANA'A, March 21 (Saba)- Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi held Sunday talks with the UAE Assistant Foreign Minister Khalid al-Ghaith on the arrangements regarding the meeting of the Yemen's Friends Group on the economic and good governance to be held during 29 - 30 March in Abu Dhabi.

The talks dealt with the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, development and investment opportunities available to for United Arab Emirates investors in promising sectors in Yemen.

Al-Qirbi expressed his high appreciation for the leadership of the UAE to support the development, economic and social process in Yemen,affirming Yemen's keenness to provide all aspects of support for UAE investors to promote the bilateral relations between the two countries to serve common interests.

For his part, the UAE official affirmed his country's keenness to strengthen relations with Yemen and to support the development process in Yemen, stressing his current visit is aiming to develop cooperation in the field of investment and to identify investment priorities in light of the various investment opportunities
available in Yemen.

He also hailed role of the Joint Ministerial Committee in translating aspirations of the leadership of both countries to achieve further cooperation and benefits for the peoples of the two countries.
