SC Chairman receives Palestine's politburo member

SANA'A, March 21 (Saba)- Shoura Council Chairman Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani received on Sunday the politburo member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine Maher al-Taher who is visiting Yemen currently.

During the meeting, Abdul-Ghani renewed Yemen's attitude on the issue of the Palestinian people to resist occupation, liberate the land and holy places, the return of refugees and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with its capital
Al-Quads.

For his part, Al-Taher briefed the latest developments in the Palestinian area in the light of the escalation of Israeli settlements and ever-present entity in the policy of Jerusalem and unwillingness to proceed in the negotiations and repeated reneging
on its commitments towards the outcome of those negotiations.

Al-Taher expressed his high appreciation for Yemen under the leadership of President Ali Abdullah Saleh to support the Palestinians.

He praised the contribution made by Yemen to the Palestinian resistance during the withdrawal from Lebanon early eighties and Yemen's position regarding the unity of the Palestinians.
