Yemen, Malaysia economic ties in seminar in Sana'a

SANA'A, March 20 (Saba)- The Diplomatic Institute of the Foreign Ministry organized Saturday a seminar to shed lights on situations and horizons of the Yemeni and Malaysian economic relations. 

The seminar was attended by a number of officials, diplomats and businessmen from both Yemen and Malaysia.

In the opening speech, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abu Bakr al-Qirbi affirmed the depth of the Yemeni and Malaysian historical ties, noting the continuous progress and growth of the two countries
relations in various fields.

He indicated that the Malaysian-Yemeni Festival, currently on in Sana'a, is a concrete example of the economic relations between the two countries, affirming Yemen's concern to benefit from the
Malaysian experience.

The minister noted the encouraging investment environment of Yemen, wishing more progress for the two countries' relations in the economic area, in particular, and all other areas, in general.

Dean of the Diplomatic Institute, the organizing body for the seminar, Abdul-Qawi al-Eryani affirmed that holding such activities comes within efforts of the ministry to reinforce relations between
Yemen and other countries to set up communication bridges between Yemen business people and their counterparts.

For his part, Chairman of the Malaysian Chamber of Commerce Ali al-Attas spoke over the economic cooperation between Yemen and Malaysia as well as the available investment opportunities in Yemen, affirming the importance of communication between businessmen in both countries for further investment projects.
