BRUSSELS, March 19 (Saba) -- Foreign Ministers of the 27-member European Union will discuss the chances of resuming the peace talks in the Middle East when they meet here on Monday, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported on Friday.
The EU's foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton will brief the ministers on her recent trip to the region, which included Amman, Beirut, Cairo, Damascus, as well Jerusalem and Gaza, EU sources said here on Friday.
The ministers will also be briefed by Tony Blair, the international Middle East envoy. Ashton and Blair are in Moscow Friday to attend a meeting of the Middle East Quartet which includes the UN, the EU, the US and Russia.
The EU ministers will also discuss Iran's nuclear dossier and the support to quake-stricken Haiti ahead of a donors' conference, due in New York on March 31, and prepare for a summit of EU leaders in Brussels next week.
