President Saleh orders authorities to return SNGs of Arab news channels

SANA’A, March 19  (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh has ordered Information Minister Hassan al-Lawzi to submit a draft media law to the Cabinet in order to be discussed in preparation for transmission to the Parliament.

Upon the approval of the cabinet, the Parliament would take constitutional procedures on the new media law of Yemen in order to be eventually approved and promulgated.

Meanwhile, well-informed sources have said that President Saleh also ordered the concerned authorities to take positive ways with the subject of two broadcasting equipments of the two Sana’a-based offices of Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya satellite news channels.
