PM: Yemen's accession to WTO will serve economic reality

SANA'A, March 17 (Saba)- Prime minister Ali Mujawar said on Wednesday "we look for joining Yemen to World Trade Organization (WTO) during 2010 the matter which will serve the economic and commercial reality."

During his meeting with Head of the work team on Yemen accession to the WTO and Head of Accession Department at the WTO, Mujawar appreciated the team's efforts in supporting the Yemeni negotiation team to complete accession requirements.

They discussed negotiation process to complete the Yemen accession's requirements to WTO and the achieved steps till now.

Head of work team on Yemen accession to the WTO made reference to the advanced stage in the completion of requirements of accession to WTO which reached by Yemen.

He expressed satisfaction on interaction of various government agencies and the private sector on the accession process, briefing that the team seeks to complete the negotiations in Geneva during the second half of 2010.
