SANA'A, March 16 (Saba) - Minster of Public Health and Population Abdul-Karim Rase'a returned home after his participation in the 34th regular session of the Arab Health Ministers Council, recently concluded in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The meeting came out with a number of decisions and recommendations, topped by the approval of the estimated yearly budget of Arab Fund for Health Development as $1 million, the minister said.
Yemen has called the Arab Health Ministers on responding to the urgent call Somalia for humanitarian assistance of medical stuffs and an allocation of $100,000 from the Arab Fund for Health Development for this purpose, the minister said.
The regular round discussed a number of Health issues, focusing on the current health situation in the Arab World, in addition to the recent developments concerning the H1N1 virus.
On the sidelines of the round, Rase'a has met with Deputy of Eastern Mediterranean Region of World Health Organization (WHO) Abdullah Assa'edi.
Rase'a and Assa'edi discussed preparations for holding the regional celebration of immunization, which will be held in each of Yemen and of Oman, Lebanon next April.
