Over 100 policemen deployed in Saada
[16/March/2010]

SAADA, March 16 (Saba) - About 120 of policemen have arrived in northern governorate of Saada to do their duties to reinforce peace and stability in the governorate's districts, Interior Ministry reported on Tuesday.

The move comes in the framework of Interior Ministry's concerns to create a safe climate in Saada in order to allow the affected and displaced people to return home.

Earlier this week, the Ministry has sent troops of Central Security Forces for the same purpose.

Two days ago, districts of Shadha, Malahidh and Razih have been completely evacuated from the Houthis as an implementation of the ceasefire six points, according to the ministry.

Sa'ada province has suffered from sporadic six-year war between the government troops and al-Houthi rebels since 2004. The last round of the war was erupted in August 2009.

On February 12th, a ceasefire deal was announced by President Ali Abdullah Saleh following the Houthi rebel leader acceptance of the government's sex terms.

Four committees have been established to oversee the implementation of the deal.

In spite some breaches committed by al-Houthi rebels, the deal's implementation is groining well but slowly.
