SAST holds talks with Egyptian &German officials

SANAA, March 15 (Saba)- Chairman of Supreme Authority for Supervising Tenders (SAST) Abdul-Malik al-Arashi held Monday talks with the Egyptian ambassador to Yemen Mohamed Morsi on ways of activating cooperation between the two countries and benefit from the Egyptian experiences in this field.

During the meeting, al-Arashi said the decision of SAST establishment is aiming to push development process and contribute to the fight against corruption through its supervision role on tenders.

Al-Arashi affirmed the importance of providing Egyptian expertise, particularly in preparing the Authority strategy in the supervision of tenders, affirming the depth of Yemeni-Egyptian relations in various fields.

On other hands, al-Arashi reviewed with Development Cooperation Consultant of the German Embassy tasks of the Authority and the possibility to benefit from German expertise in this area, particularly the electronic system and information unit of the
Authority.

He pointed out to the importance of information system and procurement to develop tasks of SAST and promote the principle of transparency at the central and local levels.
