Turkish PM Recep Erdogan heads to London

ISTANBUL, March 13 (Saba) -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan embarks on a visit to London on Saturday to participate in the British-Turkish joint forum, according to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

According to the Turkish Anadolu Ajansi, Erdogan's two-day visit to London comes to answer an invitation extended by his British counterpart Gordon Brown.

The Turkish delegation accompanying Erdogan's includes Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, Turkey's chief negotiator in the European Union Egemen Bagis, as well as Turkey's Minister of State responsible for foreign trade Mehmet Zafer Caglayan and Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Cemil Cicek.

Both officials will hold talks on the sidelines of the joint forum over the Turkish-Britain relations as well as Turkey's membership in the EU and the Cyprus issue, the source added.
