Yemen to participate in NAM ministerial meeting

SANA'A, March 13 (Saba) - Yemen is to take part in a ministerial meeting of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) on interfaith dialogue and cooperation for peace and development to be held in the Philippine capital, Manila, on 16-18 March.

Head of the Yemeni delegation Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Mothana said that Yemeni delegation will deliver a speech addressing the importance of dialogue between peoples, civilizations and cultures as well as promoting principles of tolerance, dialogue and cooperation to combat the extremism phenomenon.

The meeting will discuss means of enabling the non-aligned states to disseminate cooperation among peoples and religions and to implement (mechanism of Tehran declaration) for human rights and the document to be issued by the meeting, Mothana said.

The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) is an international organization of states considering themselves not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc.
